Requests
Registry?
Your attendance is the biggest gift to us, so you needn’t worry about bringing us something as well. If you still feel you’d like to contribute a little something, we will be saving up for a honeymoon.
Bring a Recipe!
We thought that it would be a lovely idea to gather the favorite recipes of all our loved ones, which we can use and enjoy for many years to come. Please bring your favorite recipe handwritten with you on our day, and we will gather them all in our wedding cookbook!
Phones
Feel free to bring your phones, and of course pictures are allowed, but the most important thing is to enjoy this day with each other. We will have an amazing photographer called Martina, who will capture all these wonderful moments for us.
FAQs
How do I RSVP?
Click on RSVP at the top of this page, it will bring you to a form where you can register your attendance for the event. It will also ask you who you’ll be bringing if applicable, and for any dietary restrictions. If you have any issues with registering, please feel free to contact Rachel or Patricio directly.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is summer cocktail, this means that it is dressy, but not too formal. Weather in June in Northern Italy is typically warm, but can cool down at night, so the day may call for light and airy fabrics, whilst you would want to bring a shawl, cardigan or jacket for the evening. If we are lucky with the weather, we’ll be able to have all parts of the event happening outside. For inspiration on the dress code please check here.
How accessible is the location?
Of course, having a wedding on an island may not be the most easily accessible for those with physical limitations. There is getting on and off the boat to the island, a short walk (200m) to the hotel, and whilst the aperitif and dinner are on the terrace right out front, the ceremony will be held on a balcony on the back side of the building which requires taking the stairs up to the first level. If you worry about accessibility, please contact us.
Where do I travel to?
If you’re coming from abroad by plane, the closest airport to Stresa is Milan Malpensa. It is about a 50 minute drive, and if you are renting a car for the duration of your stay, be mindful of the toll roads. All toll barriers have automatic booths that accept cash and/or card.
Where can I find accommodation?
We’ve gathered some options in different price categories below, please contact us if you need help finding a place to stay.
Do I need transportation?
On the day of the wedding, there will be a designated boat going to the island, which will drop you off just a few steps shy of the hotel. The same boat will be making return trips from 10pm until 00.30am.
There is paid parking adjacent to the Lido (where all the boats to the islands dock), though it may also be walking distance from your hotel, depending on where you are staying.
In terms of transportation during your stay, we would strongly recommend a rental car unless you plan to stay in the town of Stresa throughout. The North of Italy is not as easily traversable by public transport as the major cities are, though it is possible to take a train from Milano Malpensa airport (2h) to Stresa. You will have to go through Milano Centrale (1h20m), which has a direct connection to Stresa.
What’s the menu?
We are having a sit down dinner with a fixed menu that will be decided upon in March, as the venue is currently closed for the winter season. We will update this space in due time, but please make sure to mention any allergies or preferences in the RSVP form, so that we can notify the chef to take them into account.
